Shaqir and PETRONAS Scholarship

Asalamualaikum, aku memang amik kesempatan cuti untuk bulan yang terakhir sebelum masuk INTEC bulan Julai ni. Alhamdulillah, kat FB tu masih ade lagi yang online. Aku ingat ramai yang masuk IPTA or MATRIK menyebabkan bilangan yang online tu menurun...aku tanak forever alone weyh.


Apapun cakap pasal INTEC, aku dengar ade lebih 30 pelajar SASER yang dapat pergi situ! fuh! Dan salah seorang daripada mereka ialah Timbalan Ketua Murid 2011 : Aporn kalau korang(pembaca asing) tak kenal atau tak ingat boleh lah recap sikit siapa Aporn ni kat link sini....

Anyway, Aporn didn't appear so much in that particular entry. so, I have made this entry for him as he also faced some kind of melodramatic success to pursue his study abroad. As a PETRONAS scholarship recipient, let us all enjoy his story and experience that he had during the EduQuest ( selection programme consists of interviews and tests).

It is all started when the registration was opened on 8am, the registration is when they(candidates) were placed in dorms to settle down and get to know to each others. Aporn did met with some of his friends from SASER, that was good as that will release the in tense feeling of being isolated. If you get what i meant haha.


Briefing is done after the Jumaat Prayer, they were told that PETRONAS don't give any bond to have their scholarship recipients working with them once the recipients have done their degree and the recipients must pay 20% of the fee. OUCH

So, here come the first test for the quest. Mathematics and Science, well the test consists of various type of questions from Additional Mathematics until Chemistry. Biology? sorry wrong blog hahaha...but physics was there too. Aporn said he made his first mistake here, didn't do sufficient revision before the exam started. Well he did but it wasn't enough (he said).

The next day he faced another test. "gosh not again"

It is about English and IQ, what he need to do here is simply remember all those format in writing an essay during SPM because the test is just the same. He did a great job with all of his effort and he make sure his grammar is clear from any mistakes.

IQ test was hard, he failed to answer 5 questions well as the time was running out! But at least he answered,  same goes to IQ image test, it tested your IQ into the limit. Hard, decent but fun ( i guess, but for him? haha). Imagination is everything when it came to IQ image test, logical thinking is the weapon.

Finally, the INTERVIEW SESSION! If the interview session is solo, so it will be a paradise for public speakers....but it was group interview which surely an advantage if you are a debater and....

To summarize everything, the interview went well he did an awesome job i guess, if not how come he was selected? Right? So if you want to know more about his experience facing not one Interview Camp, but three!!! Then just check it out on his blog. Stop and Stare.

p/s:When I asked "now what" towards aporn, he said he will pursue his study in INTEC for AUSMAT, goodluck pal! and congrats for being selected as PETRONAS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT.....
